#### Where to Find This Option

<figure><img src="/files/jJoXtOuxcpqPEkeEeFeO" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

1. Go to **Settings**.
2. Navigate to **Channels**.
3. Select the **WhatsApp** tab.
4. Under the **WhatsApp Channel**, you will see the list of WhatsApp accounts.
5. If a WhatsApp account has **no associated phone numbers, a 'Delete Account' option will be available for** that particular account.
6. When you click **Delete Account**, a confirmation dialog titled **“Delete WhatsApp Business Account”** appears to prevent accidental deletion.

7. A warning message informs you that deleting the account will **also delete all templates associated with that WABA** in Mercuri.
8. Click on the **Delete** button&#x20;

#### When Can a WhatsApp Account Be Deleted?

You can delete a WhatsApp account only when:

* There are **no phone numbers associated** with the account.
* The account is not actively being used for messaging.

If a phone number is still linked, the delete option will not be available. You must first remove or de‑associate all numbers.

***

#### What Happens When You Delete the Account?

* The WhatsApp account is **removed from Mercuri’s database**.
* No messages can be sent or received using that account.
* This action **does not delete the Meta WABA** itself; it only removes the account configuration from Mercuri.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.mercuri.cx/features/channels/how-to-delete-whatsapp-business-account-when-no-numbers-are-associated.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
