# WhatsApp Onboarding

#### Important Note: Use Microsoft Teams in a Browser

* **Why?** If you try to onboard via the **Teams App**, we don’t receive the required callback from Meta.
* **What Happens?** Without this callback, your WhatsApp Business Number **won’t be mapped to Teams** properly.
* **Solution:** Always complete the onboarding process in **Microsoft Teams on a web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari).**

**Step 1: Open Microsoft Teams in a Browser**

1. **Log in** to your Microsoft Teams account at <https://teams.microsoft.com>.
2. Navigate to **Apps** and search for **Mercuri WhatsApp Integration**.
3. Click **Install** and authorize the integration.

#### Step 2: Start WhatsApp Business API Onboarding

1. Navigate to **Mercuri Dashboard > Channels > WhatsApp**.
2. Click **Onboard New Number**.

#### Step 3: Verify WhatsApp Connection in Teams

1. Return to **Microsoft Teams (browser version)**.
2. Navigate to **Mercuri WhatsApp Inbox** within Teams.
3. Send a test message to confirm that WhatsApp is correctly mapped.
