WhatsApp Onboarding

This process requires using the Microsoft Teams browser version, as onboarding through the Teams desktop or mobile app may cause issues with Meta’s callback mechanism.

Important Note: Use Microsoft Teams in a Browser

  • Why? If you try to onboard via the Teams App, we don’t receive the required callback from Meta.

  • What Happens? Without this callback, your WhatsApp Business Number won’t be mapped to Teams properly.

  • Solution: Always complete the onboarding process in Microsoft Teams on a web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari).

Step 1: Open Microsoft Teams in a Browser

  1. Log in to your Microsoft Teams account at .

  2. Navigate to Apps and search for Mercuri WhatsApp Integration.

  3. Click Install and authorize the integration.

Step 2: Start WhatsApp Business API Onboarding

  1. Navigate to Mercuri Dashboard > Channels > WhatsApp.

  2. Click Onboard New Number.

Step 3: Verify WhatsApp Connection in Teams

  1. Return to Microsoft Teams (browser version).

  2. Navigate to Mercuri WhatsApp Inbox within Teams.

  3. Send a test message to confirm that WhatsApp is correctly mapped.
