Prerequisites for Onboarding to WhatsApp Business API with Mercuri

Before integrating WhatsApp Business API with Mercuri, ensure you have the following requirements ready. This will streamline the onboarding process and help you quickly activate your WhatsApp Business account.

• Facebook Business Manager Account: Must be verified. Verify here

• Phone Number: A phone number not currently associated with any WhatsApp account is required.

  • Supports receiving calls or SMS (for OTP verification).

  • If the number is already registered with WhatsApp: You must delete the existing WhatsApp account, which will permanently remove access from the phone. Learn how to delete your WhatsApp account by following this guide. Once deleted, the number can only be used with the WhatsApp Business API and will no longer be accessible via the WhatsApp mobile app.

• Payment Profile: Have a credit card ready and your business information (e.g., GST Number) to complete the payment setup.
