Configuring SMS

1. Access the Integration Settings

  • Navigate to Mercuri in Pipedrive:

    • After logging into Pipedrive and installing the Mercuri app, go to the Mercuri dashboard within your Pipedrive account.

  • Go to Integration Settings:

    • Within the Mercuri interface, look for the Settings or Integration Settings option, typically found in the menu or settings area. Click on it to access the integration options.

2. Connect Your SMS Provider

  • Select Connect SMS:

    • In the Integration Settings, you’ll see various channels available for connection. Click on the Connect SMS option to start the setup process.

  • Set Up SMS for the First Time:

    • If this is your first time setting up SMS with Mercuri, you’ll need to create a Toll-Free Number (TFN) account. A TFN is a dedicated phone number used to send and receive SMS messages, particularly useful for businesses as it allows for high-volume messaging while maintaining a professional image.

  • Mercuri's Role in the Process:

    • Purchasing a Phone Number:

      • Mercuri can simplify this process by purchasing a toll-free phone number on your behalf. This ensures that you get a number that is compliant with regulatory requirements and is ready to be used for business communications.

      • You’ll have the option to choose from available numbers, or Mercuri can recommend one based on your business needs.

    • Documentation and Regulatory Approval:

      • To activate the toll-free number for SMS usage, certain documentation needs to be submitted to regulatory authorities for approval. This is required to ensure that the number complies with industry standards and can be used for business messaging.

      • Mercuri will assist you throughout this process, from gathering the necessary documentation to submitting it for approval. This might include business identification documents, use case descriptions, and other relevant information.

  • Connecting the SMS Provider:

    • Once the toll-free number is acquired and approved, Mercuri will guide you through connecting it to the SMS provider within the platform. This involves entering the TFN details and completing the setup steps provided by the SMS provider.

3. Configure SMS Settings and Test the Connection

  • Configure Message Settings:

    • After the TFN is connected, you’ll be able to configure various settings within Mercuri. These settings include message templates, automated responses, and delivery reports, allowing you to tailor how SMS communications are handled.

  • Test the SMS Integration:

    • Before starting your campaigns or sending out messages, it’s recommended to test the SMS integration. You can do this by sending a test message from the Mercuri dashboard in Pipedrive to ensure that the setup is functioning correctly.
